摘 要：随着社会的不断进步和发展，广场文化作为一种社会文化现象，越来越受到人们的关注。广场舞是在全民健身的氛围下新发展起来的一项运动项目，它是集体在特定的户外跳舞的一种体育运动，比如说广场、公园、社区、甚至是街道的空地，由大众集体跳舞的运动。本文通过问卷调查法、访谈法、数理统计法、文献资料法等研究方法，以衡阳市的广场舞开展为实例，研究广场健身舞蹈在的开展现状。通过研究分析衡阳市民对广场健身舞蹈的形成原因、发展水平、参与情况、舞蹈内容、技术水平、和人们的兴趣分析等方面，研究得出人们参与积极性非常高，掌握情况也好，但其中存在场地不足，噪音等问题有待解决。

The social status of the square dance in Hengyang City
Abstract：Along with society's progress and development, the square culture as a kind of social cultural phenomenon, more and more get the attention of people. Square dancing is a new developed under the atmosphere of the national fitness sports, it is a kind of collective dance in particular outdoor sports, such as square, park, community, or even the street space, by mass collective dance movement. In this paper, through questionnaire investigation, interview method, mathematical statistics, literature and other research methods, in hengyang city square dance as the instance, the square in the current situation of fitness dance. Through research and analysis of hengyang people's formation in the square fitness dance, development level, participation, dance content, technical level, and the analysis of people's interests, etc., studies people participate in the enthusiasm very high, grasp the situation, but there is insufficient space, noise and other issues to be solved.
